New Transportation and Mobility Conference Debuts in New York The inaugural Empire State of Mobility Conference will take place at the Auto Show on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. T he conference will address how technology is revolutionizing urban, personal mobility through innovations such as ubiquitous sensor technology on the ground, vehicle-to-infrastructure and vehicle-to-vehicle communication, pedestrian and cyclist detection and avoidance systems and self-driving electric shuttles among others. As the most densely populated US city and the home of the world’s financial industry, New York is the natural location for a conference focused on how private/public partnerships fund major infrastructure improvements necessary to create connected mobility.
