NEW YORK STATE GOVERNOR OPENS NEW YORK AUTO SHOW WITH ELECTRIC VEHICLE PARADE New York Governor Andrew Cuomo officiated the Show’s grand opening driving a Chevrolet Bolt EV to promote the state’s $70 million commitment to eco-friendly cars. “I CAME TO THE AUTO SHOW WITH MY FATHER [FORMER GOVERNOR MARIO CUOMO] AS A CHILD AND HAVE BEEN COMING EVER SINCE. CHARITY PREVIEW OVER $500,000 FOR DISADVANTAGED YOUTH The annual New York Auto Show Gala Preview party, sponsored by Jaguar Land Rover, raised over $500,000, to benefit the East Side House Settlement. This 125 year old charity is a unique way to present the auto industry to New York City’s wealthiest movers and shakers while raising money to help disadvantaged youth.
