PPE PPE for eyes, face, head, and extremities, protective clothing, respiratory devices, and protective shields and barriers, shall be provided, used, and maintained wherever hazards of processes or environment, (chemical, mechanical or radiological hazards, or irritants) are capable of causing injury or impairment.

Control of Hazardous Energy (LOTO) Dealers must have a lockout/tagout (LO/TO) program when servicing machines and equipment in which unexpected energization or start up or release of stored energy could cause injury to employees.

Poorly Located / Nonfunctional Eyewash Stations Eyewash stations must be positioned 33 to 45 inches above floor- level and at least six inches from the wall (or nearest obstruction). A facility’s size determines how many stations it needs, but all should be in well-lit areas and reachable within 10 seconds. They should be tested to assure both outlet heads are operating full-flow.
