Expanding convention center offers new opportunities C onstruction is well underway on the Javits Center’s expansion, and everything that exhibitors value about the facility, plus much-anticipated changes, are about to be realized on a wholly unprecedented scale. The massive project on the north end of the building will add nearly 100,000 sq ft of exhibit space to Level 3, providing exhibitors with access to a fivefold increase in meeting room space, a rooftop pavilion, new ballroom space which will accommodate 6,000 people, plus 50% more loading docks to expedite move in and out processes. The expansion is destined to take the Javits Center to the top tier of the world’s convention centers.

Doors are scheduled to open in 2021.
