2021 MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY & SERVICES GUIDE ABOUT GNYADA

One of the critical ways that GNYADA advocates for the interests of franchised new car dealers is by educating the public on the value our members bring to their customers and their communities. We do this by communicating our message in the news media, appealing directly to large audiences, which includes elected officials and other decision makers, as well as potential customers and influencers. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, GNYADA once again enjoyed a very successful year delivering the positive message that our dealers were open for business and remained a vital engine of local economies throughout downstate New York. As the pandemic shuttered businesses, we were able to get the word out that dealerships had been declared essential businesses, first for service departments and later for remote and then in-person sales and leasing. GNYADA Association leadership and member dealers spoke to the media countless times to demonstrate that we are open and safe, providing vital customer services. Our work with the news media resulted in stories highlighting safety protocols at dealerships and the dedication to ensuring that customers were able to test drive and purchase cars while adhering to all relevant health guidelines. When we released our 2020 Economic Impact Study, GNYADA President Mark Schienberg spoke to the press throughout downstate NewYork and authored an opinion editorial that was published in newspapers throughout the Hudson Valley spotlighting data that dealers support more than 70,000 jobs and generate over $53 billion dollars each year in economic activity.
