BEYOND THE BASICS: TRAFFIC SAFETY IN THE DIGITAL AGE 30 YEARS OF SAFETY AT THE NEW YORK AUTO SHOW This year marks the 30th anniversary of GNYADA starting the World Traffic Safety Symposium in 1990. It’s the only program dedicated to traffic safety at a major auto show in the world, and has covered every important topic on vehicle and road safety over the past three decades. This year’s Symposium will take place during Press Preview, fostering a dialogue among leading safety stakeholders to examine best practices and a way toward safer roadways.

NEW PROGRAM: HYPERCAR CEO SUMMIT The New York Auto Show will host the first-ever “Hypercar CEO Summit” in the exotics display featuring the heads of Koenigsegg, Rimac and BAC. Christian von Koenigsegg, Mate Rimac and Neill Briggs will discuss the hype around hypercars and their place in an autonomous future.

The press event will take place on Thursday, April 18 at 11:10 a.m.

INFLUENCER EVENT EXPANDS WITH 122+M SOCIAL MEDIA IMPRESSIONS EXPECTED In partnership with Scotty Reiss and A Girl’s Guide to Cars, the annual event, Girls’ Night Out (GNO) will take place on Thursday, April 18th. Toyota, among others, continue to take title sponsorship. Women influencers in New York City will be spreading the word about this event. Social Media impressions for GNO topped 122 million in 2018 and were trending nationally the night of the event. This audience continues to grow, and the Show aims to increase engagement and impressions in 2019 Last year, NYIAS generated a total of 1.8 billion social media impressions.
